Job summary

Mechanics Hub in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks. You will troubleshoot diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, and perform preventive maintenance using advanced diagnostic equipment.

The role offers a day shift, Monday–Friday hours with a sign-on bonus up to $6,000, plus paid OEM and ASE training, uniforms and PPE, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k) match, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing diesel engines and truck systems.
• Knowledge of diesel engine systems, electrical components, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Physical ability to lift heavy components in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues on commercial trucks using diagnostic equipment.
• Troubleshoot diesel engine malfunctions and perform repairs to restore performance.
• Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure safety and environmental compliance.
• Perform preventive maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and other routine services.
• Maintain accurate work orders documenting repairs, services performed, and parts used.
