Transdev in Huntington, VA is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across our vehicle fleet. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and reliability, with hands-on work on diagnostic tools and engines.

You will mentor junior technicians, perform routine maintenance, and collaborate with A-Level Mechanics. A DOT drug screen is required, ASE certifications are preferred, and a $3000 sign-on bonus is offered along with competitive hourly pay.

Formación

• 1 - 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided
• Mechanic’s Tool Set

Responsabilidades

• Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot diesel engine issues.
• Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on diesel engine components, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge.
• Other duties as required.
