Mechanics Hub, a nationwide truck leasing provider, seeks an experienced Diesel Truck Mechanic in the South San Francisco area to diagnose, maintain, and repair a diverse fleet of heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

The role requires 6+ years of hands-on trucking experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to mentor others. A $5,000 sign-on bonus, OEM training, and comprehensive benefits are offered. Shift is weekday days with local travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on truck and tractor-trailer maintenance experience.
• Experience with welding, diagnostic tools, and standard hand/power tools.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet DOT driver qualifications.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting, communication, and customer service.
• Ability to work independently and travel locally as needed.
• Willingness to work in non-climate-controlled environments and heights.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, up to 100 lbs occasionally, tires over 100 lbs.
• Pass background and drug screenings and meet DOT requirements.
• Preferred: high school diploma or equivalent; ASE and EPA certs; CDL license.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, and major components.
• Use diagnostic equipment and road tests to identify issues.
• Maintain and update computerized maintenance records.
• Mentor fellow technicians and provide training.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and comply with safety standards.
