Job summary

Mechanics Hub in Halethorpe, MD is seeking a Heavy-Duty Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks. You will work with diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic systems, and diagnostic tools to restore vehicle performance.

This role offers a sign-on bonus up to $8,000, paid OEM and ASE training, a Monday–Friday daytime schedule, and benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, PTO, and uniforms. Prior dealership experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and electrical components used in heavy trucks.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot diesel engine and electrical issues.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and hydraulic problems and identify repair solutions.
• Valid driver's license.
• Physical ability to lift heavy components and work in shop conditions.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues on heavy-duty trucks using advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Troubleshoot diesel engine malfunctions and perform repairs to restore vehicle performance.
• Conduct vehicle inspections to identify safety concerns and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine services (oil changes, filter replacements).
• Collaborate with technicians to prioritize repairs and maintain shop workflow.
• Maintain accurate work orders documenting repairs and parts used.
