Job summary

Paragon Leasing L.P. is hiring a Diesel Technician to perform preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on our truck fleet from Peterbilt, Kenworth, and Freightliner brands.

The role involves diagnosing engine and system issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with DOT standards. Multiple shifts are available and a strong culture is emphasized.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of heavy-duty diesel mechanic experience.
• Valid Class C driver's license.
• Ability to read and understand operating manuals, service manuals and written instructions.
• Basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and non-routine repairs on company/contractor fleet to meet DOT standards.
• Diagnose and repair diesel and gas engines.
• Diagnose and repair suspension/steering systems.
• Diagnose and repair air and hydraulic braking systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and lighting systems.

Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY: We are currently hiring a Diesel Technician who will be responsible for preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostic tests, and repairs on our trucks, which include equipment by Peterbilt, Kenworth and Freightliners. This includes all general and complex repairs.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Performing scheduled and non-routine repairs to company/contractor fleet to meet DOT standards
• Diesel and gas engine diagnostics and repair
• Suspension and steering systems diagnostics and repair
• Air and hydraulic braking systems diagnostics and repair
• Electrical and lighting diagnostics and repair
• Preventable Maintenance repairs
• Changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery
• Maintaining a clean and neat shop
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic Tool set for job functions
• 1+ years of general heavy-duty diesel mechanic experience
• Working knowledge of telematics systems and diagnostic software.
• Basic computer skills required
• Ability to read and understand operating manuals, service manuals and written instruction
• Valid Class C driver's license
• Ability to clearly read, write and speak English
• Basic math calculations

Preferred Qualifications

• Cummins or Detroit Certifications
• Commercial Inspection Certification

• Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
