Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Valid driver license with insurability; CDL and Medical card preferred but not required.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, and ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, oil pans, and other parts.
• Read job orders and diagnose malfunctions to plan work procedures.
• Inspect safety devices and tighten or adjust as needed.
• Lubricate parts and test drive to verify conformance.
• Attend training classes and stay updated with factory bulletins.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase satisfaction.
