Job summary

Tremblay Bus Company in Fall River, MA is seeking a Level-II Diesel Technician to perform comprehensive maintenance on buses, vans, and service vehicles. This journeyman role emphasizes preventive maintenance, in-depth repairs, and safety compliance.

In this mid-level position, you’ll work under supervision, utilize our maintenance tracking system, and participate in ongoing training through vendor-hosted programs. A strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years’ experience as a mechanic in an automotive, school bus, trucking or heavy equipment environment.
• Provide your own hand tools for regular maintenance.
• Current State Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Background screening and drug test required prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Learn and use maintenance tracking system to complete work orders and stay compliant on scheduled services.
• Performs thorough, accurate Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMI).
• Follows schedule to complete PM maintenance operations including lubrication, fluid changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotation.
• With supervision, performs unscheduled maintenance and DVIR repairs.
• Operate ladder and access equipment to service buses and elevated fixtures.
• Drive CDL and Non-CDL vehicles for road tests and shuttle runs.
• Use hand tools and shop equipment safely to perform tasks.
• Perform emergency roadside services as needed.
