Job summary

Republic Services is recruiting for a Technician Apprentice to train over two years, starting with nine weeks of in-person training in Dallas, TX, then 22 months of on-the-job training toward an Apprentice certification as a Diesel Mechanic. Participants will gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and growth toward a Level C Technician within the company.

Qualifications

• Commitment to completing this two-year program.
• Interest in engineering and technology.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including some nights/weekends/holidays.
• Willingness to travel to Dallas, Texas for 9 weeks of in-person training.

Responsibilities

• Two-year apprenticeship with nine weeks of paid training at the Republic Services Technical Institute in Dallas, TX.
• Twenty-two months of on-the-job training with mentorship and online technical content.
• Progress through milestones to become a Republic Services entry-level Diesel Mechanic.
• Receive hands-on experience in basic preventive maintenance, tire work, hydraulics and electrical systems.
