Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform diagnostic testing, develop repair plans, and communicate with the Service Advisor while maintaining safety and a clean workspace. Growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits are offered as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; graduate of trade/technical or manufacturer’s technical school or mechanic experience.
• Willingness to expand professional knowledge via education and training programs.
• Ability to work unsupervised and flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Investment in own tools and equipment.
• Must meet physical task requirements, with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers.
• Perform diagnostic testing and develop repair plans; communicate with Service Advisor.
• Complete repairs safely, effectively and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Recommend TravelCenters of America services during inspections.
• Maintain safety of customers and employees.
