Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair heavy‑duty trucks and trailers in a fast-paced service environment. You will troubleshoot, interpret results, and communicate a repair plan to the Service Advisor.

The role emphasizes safe, efficient workmanship and customer‑facing service. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, trade school credentials or relevant experience, and a willingness to expand knowledge through ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of acceptable trade school or manufacturer’s technical school or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to expand knowledge via education and training programs.
• Ability to work unsupervised and flex hours including nights/weekends/holidays.
• Investment in own tools required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers.
• Perform diagnostic testing and communicate repair plan to Service Advisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Recommend other TA services during inspection reviews.
• Ensure safety of customers and employees.
