Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers. You will work in a team-focused shop, performing tests, interpreting results, and communicating repair plans to the Service Advisor.

The role emphasizes safe, efficient workmanship and customer-focused service. Applicants should be able to work unsupervised, embrace ongoing training, and adapt to flexible hours including nights and weekends in varied conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent experience encouraged.
• Able to work with others and be part of a team in a fast-paced shop.
• Willingness to expand knowledge via training programs and certification opportunities.
• Ability to work unsupervised and maintain safety in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers.
• Perform diagnostic testing; develop repair plan and communicate with Service Advisor.
• Repair malfunctioning parts safely, efficiently and to company standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and support TA services as needed.
• Ensure safety of customers and employees during all activities.
