Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers. You will perform diagnostics, interpret results, and plan repairs while maintaining safety and quality in a fast-paced shop.

The role requires teamwork, willingness to learn, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Owning your own tools is preferred; competitive pay and benefits are provided in a safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; trade/technical training preferred.
• Experience or training in diesel/mechanic work is beneficial.
• Willingness to expand knowledge through education and training programs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers in accordance with standards.
• Perform diagnostic testing, interpret results, and communicate repair plan to Service Advisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and contribute to service efficiency.
• Promote TA services during inspection reviews and ensure safety of staff and customers.
• Assist with other duties as needed to support the service team.
