Penske Truck Leasing in South Portland, ME is seeking a Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, helping customers stay on the road. You will work with experienced supervisors and utilize modern shop tools to ensure safety and reliability.

You’ll have opportunities for industry training and career growth, with a starting rate of $29.21/hour plus $2.50 second‑shift and $2.00 CDL differentials where applicable, on a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Team player and able to work outdoors.
• Must follow Penske safety policies including DOT/OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles and ensure safety for customers.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and coaching.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
