Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Ashland, Virginia seeks a Mid-Level Diesel Technician to join our team. The role offers a stable career path with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

You will perform maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, utilizing top diagnostics and tools, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a first shift from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Eligible for quarterly performance bonuses and a range of company benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred.
• Basic tools, required.
• Demonstrated aptitude in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer where applicable.
• Identifies root cause and replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the issue.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
