Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Newnan, GA is seeking a qualified Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll use Penske’s tools, learn maintenance processes, and gain industry-certified training to grow your career.

You’ll work with experienced supervisors and fellow technicians on a range of OEM equipment, with a focus on safety, reliability, and high-quality service for our customers. This role offers stability and growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• 1-2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to use Penske tools and equipment to log, research and complete repairs including basic vehicle diagnostics
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outdoors
• Basic computer skills
• Must comply with Penske safety policies and DOT/OSHA requirements
• Willingness to travel within nearby geography for training

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
• Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
• Doing preventative maintenance repairs—like replacing or rotating tires—and completing vehicle component lubrication and replacement, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles
• Partnering with your manager to learn new skills using Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching
• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
