Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Diesel Technician. The Diesel Technician is responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of medium to heavy duty fleet vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation. The position requires proficiency in heavy duty Diesel Engine diagnosis and repair, understanding of Fleet Maintenance operations, electrical systems, preventative maintenance, and DOT inspections.

Compensation

Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, up to $43-$45/hour based on experience.

Schedule

Tuesday - Saturday, 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

Role Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle records manually and digitally
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on medium to heavy duty vehicles
• Conduct safety inspections and document findings
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies
• Inspect and work on vehicle undercarriage
• Handle parts movement and installation
• Communicate with clients via email and phone
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of vehicle maintenance experience or auto/diesel technology diploma
• Commercial Driver’s License class “A” or “B” preferred
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
• Own tools and toolbox
• Knowledge of diagnostic scan tools and vehicle diagnosis
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, Email
• Strong communication skills

Working Conditions

• Exposure to traffic, dust, fumes, noise, chemicals, oils, and greases
• Ability to access all vehicle areas and move heavy objects
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
