DATTCO currently has a full-time Mechanic opening in our School Bus Fleet Maintenance department.

DATTCO, founded in 1924, is New England’s largest private passenger transportation company with a School Bus Division operating over 1,000 buses and serving 30 school districts in Connecticut and Rhode Island.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or trade school or equivalent.
• Minimum of one-year experience in automotive, truck or bus repair.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles.
• Perform diagnostic and repair work on all types of vehicles.
• Complete required paperwork with regards to repair orders and parts usage.
• Make road calls.
• Own and maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions.
• Follow orders of the shop foreman or other supervisor.

DATTCO currently has a full-time Mechanic opening in our School Bus Fleet Maintenance department.

Our School Bus Division consists of a fleet of over 1,000 buses. We transport over 140,000 students in 30 school districts located throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island.
