Job summary

DATTCO, INC in Rhode Island is seeking a full-time Mechanic in our School Bus Fleet Maintenance department in Pawtucket. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose, and repair a variety of vehicles and assist with road calls while keeping repair records up to date.

We require a high school diploma or trade school, at least one year of experience in automotive/truck/bus repair, a valid driver's license, and the ability to handle the physical demands.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, trade school or equivalent.
• Minimum of one-year experience in automotive, truck or bus repair.
• Mechanically inclined and able to perform physical tasks.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles.
• Perform diagnostic and repair work on all types of vehicles.
• Complete required paperwork with regards to repair orders and parts usage.
• Make road calls.
• Own and maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions.
• Follow orders of the shop foreman or other supervisor.
