Job summary

Trillium Staffing is seeking a Diesel Technician for direct-hire in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The role involves diagnostics, repairs, and documentation in a modern shop with a mix of mobile work. Travel to client facilities, including out of state, will be required; pay rate is $35/hour.

Three to five years of hands-on tractor/trailer repair experience is preferred, with CDL and ASE certifications beneficial but not mandatory. A valid driver's license and drug screening are required.

• Solid understanding of diesel engine systems and heavy-duty components.

• Perform accurate troubleshooting and repair work on tractors, trailers, and related fleet equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues by inspecting, testing, and operating equipment.
• Complete component repairs, rebuilds, and preventive maintenance services.
• Handle equipment tear-down and reassembly as part of repair processes.
• Record labor, parts, and service details in the repair order system.
• Support other shop locations when staffing needs arise.

This Direct-Hire opportunity seeks experienced Diesel Technicians in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to perform diagnostics, repairs, and handle documentation, while working with a supportive team committed to high standards.Mobile and in-shop positions available.

This role offers a stable schedule, excellent benefits, and a modern, well-equipped shop environment. Travel to client facilities, including out of state, will be required. Pay rate is $35/hour.

Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate troubleshooting and repair work on tractors, trailers, and related fleet equipment
• Diagnosing mechanical issues by inspecting, testing, and operating equipment
• Complete component repairs, rebuilds, and preventive maintenance services
• Handle equipment tear-down and reassembly as part of repair processes
• Use manuals, diagrams, and prior experience to plan and execute repair procedures
• Record labor, parts, and service details in the repair order system
• Support other shop locations when staffing needs arise
• Take on additional tasks as operational needs change

• 3-5 years of hands-on tractor/trailer repair experience preferably with any of the manufactures- Peterbilt, International Freightliner, Mack, Volvo, Kenworth.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass drug screening
• CDL, ASE, and inspection certifications are beneficial but not mandatory
• Solid understanding of diesel engine systems, heavy-duty components, and repair techniques
• Basic electrical knowledge preferred; advanced electrical diagnostics will be taught to qualified candidates
• Ability to accurately track labor time and parts used on each job
