Job summary

True North Fleet Services is seeking a Diesel Technician to support fleet uptime through preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy‑duty diesel equipment in close partnership with Elite Diesel.

You will service trucks and trailers, diagnose issues, complete DOT inspections, and document activities to ensure compliance and safety.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of diesel or heavyduty maintenance experience.
• ASE TSeries certifications preferred (T2, T4, T5, T6, T8) or willingness to obtain.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, not required).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brake systems, suspension, steering, and electrical components.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues.
• Complete DOT inspections and ensure compliance standards are met.
• Accurately document repairs and maintenance activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with drivers, service advisors, and shop leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on heavyduty trucks and trailers
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brake systems, suspension, steering, and electrical components
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues
