Job summary

True North Fleet Services, in partnership with Elite Diesel, is seeking a Diesel Technician to keep equipment safe, reliable, and on the road. You will support fleet uptime through preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and quality repairs on heavy-duty diesel equipment.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of diesel or heavy-duty maintenance experience.
  • ASE TSeries certifications preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs.
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on heavyduty trucks and trailers.
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brake systems, suspension, steering, and electrical components.
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues.
  • Complete DOT inspections and ensure compliance standards are met.
  • Accurately document repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with drivers, service advisors, and shop leadership.

Position Overview

This role supports fleet uptime through preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and quality repairs on heavy-duty diesel equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on heavyduty trucks and trailers
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brake systems, suspension, steering, and electrical components
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues
  • Complete DOT inspections and ensure compliance standards are met
  • Accurately document repairs and maintenance activities
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Collaborate with drivers, service advisors, and shop leadership

  • ASE TSeries certifications preferred (T2, T4, T5, T6, T8) or willingness to obtain

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, not required)
