Job summary

Stevens Transport, Inc. seeks a Diesel Technician to perform preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on trucks from Peterbilt, Kenworth, and Freightliner. The role involves all general and complex repairs and offers multiple shifts.

Work shifts: 4 On / 3 Off (Day). This position emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and a culture‑driven environment with an industry-leading organization.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of heavy-duty diesel mechanic experience.
• Valid Class C driver's license.
• Ability to read and understand operating manuals, service manuals and written instruction.
• Ability to clearly read, write and speak English.
• Cummins or Detroit Certifications (preferred).
• Commercial Inspection Certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performing scheduled and non-routine repairs to company/contractor fleet to meet DOT standards.
• Diesel and gas engine diagnostics and repair.
• Suspension and steering systems diagnostics and repair.
• Air and hydraulic braking systems diagnostics and repair.
• Electrical and lighting diagnostics and repair.
• Preventable Maintenance repairs.
• Changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
• Maintaining a clean and neat shop.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY: We are currently hiring a Diesel Technician who will be responsible for preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostic tests, and repairs on our trucks, which include equipment by Peterbilt, Kenworth and Freightliners. This includes all general and complex repairs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required
• Ability to read and understand operating manuals, service manuals and written instruction
• Valid Class C driver's license

• Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds

1+ years as Diesel Technician
