Cummins Inc. is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician / Mechanic in Cleveland, OH to join our distribution team. You will perform engine repairs in a service shop, use diagnostic tools, and keep thorough records of serviced vehicles.
This role requires adherence to health, safety and environmental policies, ongoing training on Cummins products, and maintaining your own tools. CDL may be preferred and relocation is possible.
We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Cleveland, OH.
Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
Maintain own tools
Completes complex internal engine repairs
Bumper to Bumper Chassis Experience
Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
Electrical Proficiency and Understanding
Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software
Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)
CDL if possible.
A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
