Job Title: Diesel Technician

Description

Performs troubleshooting, repairs, and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop independently, while coaching and developing less experienced technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Applies documented procedures and policies to perform diagnostics and complex repairs.
  2. Performs preventative maintenance based on engine assessment.
  3. Completes required documentation, such as work completed, time sheets, warranty claims, and quality forms, via handwritten or business system input screens.
  4. Completes training aligned with skill and business requirements.
  5. Coaches and develops technicians and/or apprentices, transferring knowledge and experience; may provide work direction and review repair plans and parts lists.
  6. Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
  7. Adheres to and enforces health, safety, and environmental policies, reporting issues to supervisors.

Qualifications and Certifications

  • Experience in providing technical advice and coaching (preferred).
Minimum Requirements
  • CDL required.
  • Clean 5-year motor vehicle report.
  • Compliance with FMCSA drug and alcohol testing.
  • Pass DOT physical and adhere to DOT regulations.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
