Job Title: Diesel Technician

Performs troubleshooting, repairs, and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop independently, while coaching and developing less experienced technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Applies documented procedures and policies to perform diagnostics and complex repairs.
- Performs preventative maintenance based on engine assessment.
- Completes required documentation, such as work completed, time sheets, warranty claims, and quality forms, via handwritten or business system input screens.
- Completes training aligned with skill and business requirements.
- Coaches and develops technicians and/or apprentices, transferring knowledge and experience; may provide work direction and review repair plans and parts lists.
- Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
- Adheres to and enforces health, safety, and environmental policies, reporting issues to supervisors.

Qualifications and Certifications
- Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (preferred).
- Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution.
- Valid driver's license (preferred).
Experience
- Advanced knowledge or experience with engine products.
- Experience in providing technical advice and coaching (preferred).
Minimum Requirements
- CDL required.
- Clean 5-year motor vehicle report.
- Compliance with FMCSA drug and alcohol testing.
- Pass DOT physical and adhere to DOT regulations.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
