Immediately hiring a Permanent Full-Time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Charlotte, North Carolina.

• Hourly Pay: $26.50 per hour
• Certification Bonus of $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter
• Sign-On Bonus: $1250 at 30 days and $1250 at 90 days
• Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday
• Hours: First shift 6:00 am – 2:30 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine maintenance
• Two or more years of relevant classroom training and work experience preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred

Note: Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months, and pass Ryder's drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background check.

• Diagnosing mechanical and electronic problems
• Identifying root causes and performing repairs
• Replacing defective components
• Facility maintenance
• Customer interaction to determine issues
• Utilize shop management systems and documentation
• Follow safety and compliance guidelines
• Support duties as needed, including service island support
