Job summary

Savannah Technical College is seeking a part-time adjunct Diesel Equipment Technology instructor to teach students in classroom and lab environments. The instructor will deliver lectures, plan lessons, and manage classrooms across campus locations.

Preferred qualifications include a Diploma in Diesel Equipment Technology and ASE Certification (T2–T8), with at least five years of medium/heavy diesel work experience in the last seven years.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Diesel Equipment Technology preferred.
• ASE Certification in T2-T8 preferred.
• Five years of medium/heavy diesel work experience within the past seven years.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and retention of students.
• Evaluating students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives.
• Daily teaching duties: class lecture, lesson planning, and classroom management.
• Ensuring safety and security requirements in the classroom and laboratory.
• Flexible work schedule hours to include day/evening classes at either campus.
