Job summary

Savannah Technical College is seeking a Part Time/Adjunct Automotive Technology program instructor. The instructor will teach students in classroom and lab environments and support safety and lab preparedness.

Minimum requirements include an Associate Degree in Automotive Technology, five years of automotive work experience in the last seven years, and ASE Certification in all eight areas, plus strong communication and computer skills; teaching experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Automotive Technology preferred.
• Five years of automotive work experience within the past seven years.
• Current ASE Certification in all eight areas.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Teaching experience at a postsecondary institution is desirable.
• Must have computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and retention of students.
• Evaluating students' progress in attaining goals and objectives.
• Daily teaching duties include class lecture, lesson planning, and classroom management.
• Ensuring safety and security requirements are met in the classroom and laboratory.
• Flexible work schedule hours to include day/evening classes.
