Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers in a fast-paced service environment. You will perform diagnostics, develop repair plans, and communicate with the Service Advisor to ensure quality work.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, plus trade school or mechanic experience; flexibility for nights, weekends and some holidays is needed. Investment in your own tools is expected.

Qualifications

• Willingness to expand knowledge via training programs.
• Ability to work unsupervised and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Perform diagnostic testing and develop a repair plan; communicate to the Service Advisor.
• Repair malfunctioning parts; complete repairs safely, effectively and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Recommend TA services during inspection reviews.
• Ensure safety of customers and employees.
