Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers in a fast-paced setting. You will communicate repair plans to the Service Advisor and ensure work is performed to company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade/tech school or prior mechanic experience preferred.
• Willingness to expand professional knowledge through education and training programs.
• Able to work unsupervised and adapt to flexible hours (nights, weekends, some holidays).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers.
• Perform diagnostic testing and interpret results; communicate repair plan to Service Advisor.
• Repair malfunctioning parts and electrical/mechanical components safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and assist customers with TA services as appropriate.
