Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician to join our team. You will diagnose, troubleshoot and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers, delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment and communicating clearly with the Service Advisor.

The role requires the ability to work flexible hours, maintain safety standards, and be proactive in recommending additional TA services during inspections. We value teamwork and the commitment to customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• Trade/technical training or mechanic experience preferred.
• Able to work unsupervised and safely perform tasks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers.
• Perform diagnostic testing and communicate repair plans to Service Advisor.
• Repair malfunctioning parts and electrical components safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Suggest TA services during inspection reviews.
• Ensure safety of customers and employees.
