Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers. You will perform diagnostics, develop repair plans and communicate findings to the Service Advisor, while maintaining safety and a clean work environment.

The role requires a HS diploma or trade school training, ability to work unsupervised, and flexibility for nights/weekends. Candidates should invest in their own tools and be committed to safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent
• Willingness to expand professional knowledge via training programs
• Ability to work unsupervised

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers
• Perform diagnostic testing and interpret results; communicate plan to Service Advisor
• Repair malfunctioning parts and mechanical/electrical equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Recommend TA services during inspection reviews
• Ensure safety of customers and employees
