Job summary

Cox Fleet in Miami, FL is hiring a Shop Diesel Technician II to support future growth. You will perform licensed DOT inspections, Preventative Maintenance inspections, light and follow-up repairs, and diagnostics in a shop environment.

The successful candidate continues to learn advanced mechanical skills under supervision, aligns with safety policies, and can travel to customer locations as needed. This role offers growth within Cox Fleet and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent in related discipline with relevant field experience.
• 3 years' related field experience; or 5 years' related field experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain DQF.

Responsibilities

• Perform licensed DOT inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Conduct light, medium, and some heavy-duty repairs in a shop.
• Utilize hand tools, diesel tools, welding equipment, and lifts.
• Document work and communicate with service writer and manager.
• Adhere to safety policies and complete all required training.
• Assist in diagnostics and support senior technicians as needed.
