Job summary

Boss Shop in Rawlins, WY seeks a skilled Shop Diesel Mechanic/Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and advanced repairs. You will use J-Pro, FleetCross, and OE software to diagnose vehicle systems and document work.

A valid driver’s license, Air Brake and HVAC certifications, plus DOT/ASE credentials are required, with on-call and weekend availability as needed. We offer a robust training program, growth opportunities, and benefits including health, dental, vision, 401K

Qualifications

Air Brake Certification required.
DOT Medical Card required.
ASE certifications preferred; Shop Technician IV must obtain or maintain within one year of promotion.
Section 609 HVAC certification required for HVAC service.
Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
Ability to attend HVAC, Electrical, and DOT training; obtain ASE, DOT certifications.

Responsibilities

Performs preventive maintenance, tire services, and emergency road service calls.
Conducts DOT inspections and ensures regulatory compliance.
Performs service calls, including night and on-call assignments.
Uses J-Pro, FleetCross, and OE software to diagnose and repair vehicle systems.
Completes work orders with labor, parts, and warranty information.
Performs engine, fuel, exhaust, drivetrain, and electrical system repairs as needed.
Diagnoses emissions, HVAC, and steering/suspension issues; ensures safety and reliability.
Maintains shop cleanliness and tool/equipment safety; adheres to OSHA policies.
