Job summary

Atlantic Detroit Diesel Allison in Connecticut is seeking skilled technicians to diagnose problems and perform repairs on customers' equipment, including engines, drivetrain, steering, suspension, and brake systems.

Leverage your experience with diagnostic software, multimeters, schematics, and portable tools to service heavy-duty equipment. A strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and customer service is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years related experience OR technical degree and diesel repair certification.
• Full set of basic hand tools (standard and metric), plus torque wrenches and toolbox.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; CDL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Use diagnostic software and troubleshoot equipment.
• Identify and order parts with the parts department.
• Perform mechanical repairs up to disassembly and rebuild; experience with major OEMs welcomed.
• Complete work orders and time sheets clearly detailing labor operations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
