Job summary

NSD TRUCK AND PERFORMANCE INC is seeking an Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair diesel-equipped vehicles in a busy shop. You will use computer software and diagnostic tools, have broad knowledge of vehicle systems, and work to solve customer problems with a never-give-up attitude.

You will perform routine maintenance, participate in procedures to track repairs, and communicate effectively with customers to ensure satisfaction. A focus on accuracy and teamwork is essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program preferred.
• ASE certification or SAE certification preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic tools to evaluate vehicle malfunction codes.
• Assist with establishing service center procedures for tracking repair status and maintaining documentation.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements.
• Conduct in-depth inspections of engine, transmission, and brakes.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Explain repair information clearly to customers.
