Job summary

Atlantic Detroit Diesel Allison in Middletown, CT, is seeking skilled technicians to diagnose problems and perform major mechanical repairs on diesel engines, propulsion systems, electronics, and related subassemblies for commercial and pleasure craft at dock or afloat. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3–5 years related experience.
• Technical degree or diesel engine program certification preferred.
• Clean driving record and valid Driver’s License required.
• Full complement of basic hand tools, both standard and metric, including torque wrenches.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and perform complex mechanical repairs on vessels.
• Service both commercial and pleasure craft at dock or sea on engines, propulsion systems, electronics, and subassemblies.
• Utilize portable diagnostic tools and computer software as part of repair work.
