Qualifications

• 5+ years in diesel mechanics, with 1–2 years in leadership.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical, brakes and trailer systems.
• Experience with shop software and repair-tracking tools.
• DOT and OSHA safety compliance knowledge.
• Ability to motivate teams and Lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shop operations, prioritize workloads and timelines.
• Lead a team of diesel mechanics with guidance and coaching.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Monitor preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Order parts, manage inventory, and track repair costs.
• Ensure safety compliance across all repairs and procedures.
• Communicate with drivers, dispatch, and leadership.
• Train and mentor new mechanics.
