Rush Enterprises Inc. is seeking a Diesel Shop Foreman Technician in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on leading a team of diesel mechanics, coordinating repairs, and ensuring quality workmanship.

You will mentor technicians, schedule work, and provide technical guidance to maintain efficiency and minimize comebacks. A strong background in diesel systems and supervision is required, with advancement opportunities in a growing network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of shop and technician supervision experience.
• Insurability with the company’s carrier.
• ASE Master Certification / Diamond Certification or manufacturer certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, and motivate qualified diesel mechanics.
• Assist diesel mechanics in developing their skills with the Service Manager’s support.
• Schedule repair work and assign technicians to match skill levels for quality.
• Ensure fair assignment of repairs to mechanics.
• Provide technical support for mechanics when needed.
• Check progress of each repair order throughout the day.
• Maintain high-quality repairs and minimize comebacks with spot checks.
• Road test vehicles to quality-check work performed.
• Monitor mechanics’ productivity and payroll records.
