Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group, currently seeking a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic for the Irving, TX area. This role involves heavy-duty mechanical repair under supervision, with on-the-job training to achieve Service Journeyman status.

You will gain experience on engines, fuel/electrical systems, transmissions, cooling, chassis, brakes, and routine maintenance, while following safety practices and adhering to shop standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• CDL preferred.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.
• Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform and/or assist in general mechanical duties.
• Work on engine, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot minor problems under supervision.
• Attend training sessions and meetings.
• Maintain a neat and orderly workspace and proper handling of company tools.
• Inform Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Follow safety practices and seek assistance when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
