Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company (MHC Kenworth) is seeking a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic in Texas to perform heavy-duty mechanical repairs under supervision and participate in a development program to achieve Service Journeyman status. You will gain experience on engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling, chassis, brakes, and general maintenance while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Performs general mechanical duties and maintenance tasks.
• Gains experience on engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, and tune-ups.
• Performs troubleshooting on minor problems.
• Attends training sessions and meetings.
• Maintains a neat and orderly workspace and handles tools properly.
• Advises Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Follows safe work practices and uses safety equipment as required.
