Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is seeking a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic to perform heavy-duty mechanical repairs under supervision. You will gain hands-on experience on engines, fuel and electrical systems, transmissions, cooling, and brakes while progressing through our service program.

We offer on-the-job training, safety-focused practices, and opportunities for career advancement within a large Kenworth dealer network. CDL preferred and certifications are required where noted.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.
• Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs and/or assists in general mechanical duties on heavy trucks.
• Gains experience on engines, fuel, electrical, transmissions and brakes with supervision.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Maintains a neat, safe workspace and uses company tools properly.
• Attends training sessions and meetings and participates in on-the-job training.
