Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC, North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group, is seeking a Diesel Service Journeyman/Mechanic in Oklahoma City. Under minimal supervision, you will perform skilled heavy-duty truck repairs, troubleshoot major problems, and train apprentices.

Requirements include a CDL, A/C, Brake and DOT Inspector certifications, and 4+ years of experience or vocational training. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• CDL required and clean driving record.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications.
• Must have at least one specialization (engine or drive train).
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience or vocational training.
• Necessary tools to perform position.
• Good customer relations and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled and complicated mechanical work on heavy-duty truck equipment with minimum supervision.
• Performs troubleshooting on major problems.
• Works with and helps train Apprentice Technicians.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area and proper handling of company tools.
• Advises the Service Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Maintains favorable relations with customers.
• Participates in training to stay abreast of new technology.
• Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
