Job summary

HOLT Group in Longview, TX is seeking an Engine Shop Service Technician CAT3600 to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel-powered or natural gas industrial engines and related components. Mid-level position with 4+ years of relevant experience, including the ability to read schematics, use CAT ET and CAT SIS, and operate shop equipment.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of diesel or natural gas engines experience.
• Reading schematics and diagrams preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduation from a diesel technology program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses industrial diesel and natural gas engines.
• Disassembles and assembles components to manufacturer specs with hand and power tools.
• Rebuilds, repairs, and maintains equipment and components.
• Mentors and helps train other technicians.
• Manages parts orders and ensures timely repair documentation.
• Ensures safety policies are followed and keeps work areas clean.
