Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a skilled diesel mechanic to safely operate, repair, rebuild, and maintain heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment for daily refuse operations. The role offers starting pay of $30-$35 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours and pay increases for experience and certs.

Shift is 11am-7:30pm, Monday to Friday; training on first shift during the initial 90 days. Benefits include PTO, tool allowance, boot reimbursement, health benefits after 60 days, and 401K after 6

Qualifications

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems and other components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep refuse trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely

Starting Pay: $30-$35/hr

More pay available based on EXP, CERTS and SKILL LEVEL.

Shift: 11am-730pm M-F. OT after 40hrs worked. Will be trained on first shift the first 90 days.
