Job summary

Quality Carriers, Inc. is seeking a skilled trailer and tractor technician to diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on semi-truck equipment, including brakes, tires, electrical systems, and basic structural repairs, all while working from a service truck and following DOT and company safety standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
At least 1 year related experience required.
Experience with diesel engines, air and electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers.
Perform annual/systematic 90 day inspections on equipment as required.
Ensure equipment meets Federal FHWA standards.
Operate a yard hostler truck to move trailers.
Identify parts and supplies as needed.
Adhere to OSHA safety and environmental policies and standards.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Use welding equipment.
