Job summary

Heniff Transportation Systems, LLC is seeking a Diesel Truck Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers in our service facilities. You will diagnose mechanical issues, complete 90-day inspections, and ensure compliance with DOT standards.

You will operate a yard hostler, document work in our maintenance software, and follow OSHA safety policies, contributing to reliable fleet operations and safe, compliant transport services.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic systems.
• Experience inspecting cargo tanks per DOT standards.
• Ability to read and follow maintenance manuals.
• English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers.
• Conduct annual 90-day inspections per FHWA standards.
• Repair components by replacing worn parts.
• Operate yard hostler to move trailers.
• Annotate maintenance in management software.
• Adhere to OSHA and safety policies.
• Perform welding repairs as needed.
