Fraley & Schilling (Maintenance) seeks an experienced diesel technician with 5+ years of verifiable diesel fleet maintenance experience to diagnose, repair, and overhaul heavy truck systems. Qualifications

• 5+ years of verifiable commercial diesel fleet maintenance experience.
• Proficiency with diagnostic programs: Cummins INSIGHT, DiagnosticLink, DAVIE, Wabco, Bendix.
• Diagnose, overhaul, and repair major heavy truck systems: diesel engines, transmissions, clutches, electrical/charging, cooling, air brakes, suspensions, steering, and APUs.
• Practical trailer repair skills: Conestoga rolling tarp systems, crossmember replacement, bogie repairs, dolly legs, and trailer doors.
• Welding ability on steel and aluminum.
• Capability to perform comprehensive preventative maintenance (PM) services and federal DOT vehicle inspections.
• Safe operation of forklifts, shop cranes, and heavy service equipment.
• Associate degree or diploma from an accredited diesel tech school preferred.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred for vehicle road tests.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, overhaul, and repair major heavy truck systems including diesel engines, transmissions, clutches, electrical/charging, cooling, air brakes, suspensions, steering and APUs.
• Perform practical trailer repairs such as Conestoga tarp systems, crossmember replacement, bogie repairs, dolly legs, and trailer doors.
• Demonstrate welding ability on both steel and aluminum.
• Carry out comprehensive preventative maintenance (PM) services and federal DOT vehicle inspections.
• Show safe operation of forklifts, shop cranes, and other heavy service equipment.
