Job summary

Fraley & Schilling (Maintenance) seeks an experienced diesel technician with 5+ years of verifiable commercial fleet maintenance to diagnose, overhaul, and repair major heavy truck systems. Proficiency with diagnostics like Cummins INSIGHT, DiagnosticLink, DAVIE, Wabco, or Bendix is required.

Responsibilities include practical trailer repairs, welding on steel/aluminum, and performing preventative maintenance and DOT inspections. CDL preferred; valid license required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of verifiable commercial diesel fleet maintenance experience required.
• Proficiency with diagnostic programs: Cummins INSIGHT, DiagnosticLink, DAVIE, Wabco, or Bendix.
• Ability to diagnose, overhaul, and repair major heavy truck systems (diesel engines, transmissions, clutches, electrical/charging, cooling, brakes, suspension, steering, APUs).
• Practical trailer repair skills (Conestoga tarp systems, crossmember replacement, bogie repairs, dolly legs, trailer doors).
• Welding ability on steel and aluminum.
• Experience with comprehensive preventative maintenance (PM) and federal DOT vehicle inspections.
• Safe operation of forklifts, shop cranes, and heavy service equipment.
• CDL preferred; valid driver’s license required.

5+ Years of Verifiable Commercial Diesel Fleet Maintenance Experience REQUIRED

Proficiency with Diagnostic Programs (Cummins INSIGHT, DiagnosticLink, DAVIE, Wabco, or Bendix) REQUIRED

• Proven ability to diagnose, overhaul, and repair major heavy truck systems: diesel engines, transmissions, clutches, electrical/charging, cooling, air brakes, suspensions, steering, and APUs
• Practical trailer repair skills, including Conestoga rolling tarp systems, crossmember replacement, bogie repairs, dolly legs, and trailer doors
• Demonstrated welding ability on both steel and aluminum
• Current capability to perform comprehensive preventative maintenance (PM) services and federal DOT vehicle inspections
• Safe operational skills for forklifts, shop cranes, and heavy service equipment
• Associate degree or diploma from an accredited diesel technical school preferred
• Valid driver's license required; Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred for vehicle road tests
