Performance Foodservice in Waco, TX seeks a skilled diesel fleet mechanic for the 3rd shift (Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM). You will diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks and reefer units, ensure roadworthiness, and maintain thorough work order documentation.

The role requires 5+ years of heavy‑duty experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to train others in best practices within a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of heavy-duty vehicle repair experience including PMs and diagnostics.
• Minimum 2 years of A/C refrigeration experience.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventative maintenance on diesel fleet equipment and inspect components.
• Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings, and other critical systems.
• Ensure roadworthiness with proper licensing and registrations.
• Document all repairs and PMs in the online system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Use hand and power tools for repairs and adjustments.
• Train other employees on maintenance best practices.
• Perform road call service as needed.
