Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Agawam, MA is seeking a skilled fleet diesel technician to diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units. The role requires strong repair expertise, adherence to state and federal trucking regulations, and the ability to document work orders daily.

Road call service may be required. We offer $34.10 - $44.35 per hour, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, a four-day work week (Thu-Sat 5:30pm-5:30am; Wed 11:30pm-5:30am), tool allowance, uniforms,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5-7 years of medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience.
• Experience with PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, and diagnostics.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in A/C refrigeration.
• Ability to diagnose with computerized diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment and components.
• Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings, and related parts.
• Ensure licensing and registration are current for roadworthiness.
• Document repairs and maintenance in the online system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Use hand and power tools for repairs.
• Train other employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
